The Addis International Film festival is an annual documentary film festival held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is the largest independent documentary cinema festival in Africa and it was established as a unique initiative seeking to use the power of documentaries and short films to support innovative ways of creating awareness on social issues.

Karama Human Rights Film Festival

The Karama Human Rights Film Festival was set up in Jordan to respond to the need for human rights dialogue and advocacy in the Arab region. Karama, means 'dignity' in Arabic. Recent massive upheavals in the Arab region made it imperative to seek the exchange of expression, ideas, opinions and experiences on human rights issues across the region and the world.
