Active Vista International Human Rights Film Festival

to
Quezon City (Philippines)

A society that respects, upholds and values the dignity, rights and freedom of its people is the vision that Active Vista underpins. It brings attention stories of human conditions to enable the public to help dismantle barricades that hinder the pursuit of human rights and dignity. Recognizing the pedagogical strength of cinema in education, it allows an opportunity to spark critical discourse among its audiences towards a collective understanding of their social conditions and developing strategic actions that make meaningful change in their lives.

The annual festival happens in September and coincides with the commemoration of the anniversary of Martial Law in the Philippines. The festival features screenings with forums, workshops, performances and art exhibits.
